    (April 3, 2025) Time to get trashy. The sixth annual Nantucket Litter Derby will be held from 6 a.m. Saturday through noon Sunday, with an after-party and awards ceremony at Cisco Brewers. More than 87,000 pounds – 43.5 tons – of litter have been removed from the environment by Litter Derby participants over the past five years.

    (March 31, 2025) The Inquirer and Mirror took home 19 awards, including seven first-place honors, at the New England Newspaper and Press Association's 2024 Better Newspaper Competition, presented over the weekend in Portland, Maine. The awards come on the heels of the I&M being named a NENPA Distinguished Newspaper in its circulation category at its annual fall conference in October.     (March 12, 2025) Lace up your running shoes and put on some green Saturday morning if you're interested in some exercise and good-natured competition. The 13th annual Shamrock Run to benefit Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals kicks off at 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Cisco Brewers at 5 Bartlett Farm Road. There will be two Little Leprechaun Leaps prior to the race, one for children 18 months to 4 years, the second for children 5-10.
