From condemnation to crucifixion and entombment, the 14 prayer stations tell of cruelty, grief and murder in a brutal story that has persisted for more than 2,000 years. The Federated Church of Martha’s Vineyard has updated the tradition, including contemporary issues to highlight how the atrocities are ongoing in present-day society.
