In 2024, characters Hercules and Iceman caught the gays’ attention for their pose on one of the Pride variant covers: The hulking, hairy Hercules stood with his arm around the smaller, smirking Iceman (whose arched back immediately raised queer eyebrows).

As the election draws ever closer, campaign rallies become more and more pressing. But according to the New York Times, Trump’s rallies aren’t quite as successful as he would like. At the Dorton Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, the seating behind the stage had dozens of empty seats, with the back of the arena having several empty rows and there being no line outside. This is in spite of boasts from Trump about how large the crowds he draws are, with insistence that thousands wait outside.
