    The city introduced a plan to roll out student OMNY cards on Thursday. Eligible students will be able to have cards for the start of the school year. The initiative will replace the current student MetroCards, eliminating the current restrictions that the cards are programmed to. Students will be able to ride for free four times a day and can use the cards 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
