    The NYPD says a shooting in East New York left a male 18-year-old dead and a female 18-year-old injured. Police say Zanir Childs was shot in the torso just before 10 p.m. on Saturday in front of 812 New Jersey Ave., less than a mile away from his home. The 18-year-old female was shot in her right arm but is expected to recover. He and the second teen were both taken to a hospital, where Childs was pronounced dead.
