Portland’s Blue Star Donuts is one of the best doughnut brands in the country, a new ranking says. USA Today released a list of the top 10 doughnut shops in the U.S., as part of its ongoing 10best series. Blue Star came in at No. 9. The list called out Blue Star’s “uniquely satisfying, strikingly creative donut offerings” and praised the brand for its “hard to beat” vegan options. Benny’s Donuts in Corvallis also made an appearance on the list, coming in at No. 7.

Large crowds at Portland’s “No Kings in America” protests on Saturday also attracted some attention from the animal kingdom. “An estimated 50,000 Portlanders marched together in solidarity and protest,” Mayor Keith Wilson said Sunday in a statement. But perhaps that number should have been closer to 50,020. A flock of Canadian geese joined protesters at Tom McCall waterfront park, in a widely-shared moment captured on video. Dubbed the “Geese for Peace,” they quickly went viral on social media.

A 75% off storewide clearance sale at a soon-to-be-shuttered Ulta location appears to have sparked speculation that the beauty store is going out of business. Like with Chipotle back in April, the rumor that Ulta will close all its stores spread across the internet. It’s certainly closing its store at the Roosevelt Collection shopping center in Chicago — and the retailer has reported weaker sales amid dwindling consumer confidence, economic uncertainty and the threat of a widespread trade war.

Oregon-Washington is absolutely awesome. What if you took those two programs and put them in a conference with schools like Utah, Colorado, Oregon State and Washington State? Somebody should consider it.
