A months-long investigation by Windsor police has netted $65,000 in illegal drugs and led to the arrest of two individuals. Officers with the drugs and guns enforcement unit arrested a 27-year-old man suspected of drug trafficking along with a 35-year-old woman, on Wednesday in the 9200 block of Tecumseh Road East. Police said they seized $4,150 in cash and 23.7 grams of crystal methamphetamine during the arrest.

Traffic was diverted overnight after a gaping hole opened up in the roadway of a downtown street Wednesday. Windsor Fire and Rescue posted to social media, telling motorists to avoid the 1200 block of Pelissier Street where the sinkhole was located. City officials said the sinkhole was caused by the failure of an underground stormwater connection.

Article contentWindsor police K9 Link sniffed out a suspected van thief, helping officers located the suspect hiding in a woodlot. The suspect allegedly stole an unoccupied delivery van that was reported stolen Wednesday, at approximately 10 a.m., from the 1900 block of McKay Avenue. A delivery driver had parked the van and left the engine running while dropping off a parcel at a nearby residence.
