LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The son of a former Nevada state senator was killed Thursday at a North Las Vegas casino, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned. Na’onche Osborne, 23, of North Las Vegas, was shot to death at approximately 4:30 a.m. Thursday at Aliante Casino in North Las Vegas, Clark County officials confirmed Saturday. In 2022, Democratic State Sen. Pat Spearman identified Osborne as her son following his arrest for a shooting in her home.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man is dead after a police shooting in the southwest Las Vegas valley Saturday afternoon. Around 1:50 p.m., Metro police responded to a report of an armed suicidal man in the 6100 block of Allen Cove Court near Patrick Lane and Durango Drive. When officers arrived and began approaching the residence they heard what they believed to be one gunshot, police said. As officers continued to approach the residence they came in contact with the armed man.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Officials from the Venetian Resort Las Vegas reported two big winnings by guests at the resort Friday. The first big win was by a guest who won more than $700,000 playing Ultimate Texas Hold’em. The unidentified guest made a side bet of $5 and won the major tier of the resort’s “Millionaire Progressive” after being dealt a club royal flush.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two Mexican nationals in southern Nevada face charges for illegally returning to the United States after being deported several times. Juan Carlos Verdin-Covarrubias, 41, and Uriel Lira-Cabrera, 44, each face one count of being a deported alien found in the United States. According to court records, both men had been deported multiple times before reentering the country illegally. Verdin-Covarrubias was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on March 12.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcyclist died Tuesday after a crash in south Las Vegas, according to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol. The collision occurred just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Warm Springs and Paradise roads where investigators said a motorcycle going west ran a red light and struck a sedan. The motorcycle rider, identified as Russell Allen Ellison, 50, of Las Vegas, was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
