SKANDIA, MI – An emu went for an unauthorized jaunt down a Michigan highway over the weekend before returning home safely. The “escape artist” in question, Blue, was seen on Saturday running along the side of U.S. 41 near Skandia in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The video above was captured by John Waldo and shared by his wife, Amy Waldo, on social media. “Only in Skandia do you see an emu running down the road,” Amy Waldo said on Facebook.
