GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Non-emergency calls to the Grand Junction Police Department had to be put on hold for a short time on Thursday afternoon. According to a post on the GJPD’s Facebook page, their non-emergency dispatch lines were out-of-service after about 2:00 p.m.The GJPD said that service was restored at about 3:15 p.m. Thursday. GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A man is behind bars after being accused of kidnapping and assaulting a woman at a home in Grand Junction. Officers said that the victim, an adult woman, fled to a neighbor’s home where she claimed that someone was after her. According to a release issued by the police department, she was involved in an unspecified dispute at a nearby home where she was physically assaulted and held against her will.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - One of two women allegedly involved in a scheme late last year to steal and alter Mesa County ballots appeared in court Monday. During the hearing, 64-year-old Vicki Lyn Stuart pleaded guilty to identity theft and forgery— two counts out of a total of 34. The remaining 32 charges were dropped as a part of the plea deal.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - One of two women allegedly involved in a scheme late last year to steal and alter Mesa County ballots appeared in court Monday. During the hearing, 64-year-old Vicki Lyn Stuart pleaded guilty to identity theft and forgery— two counts out of a total of 34. Her legal team requested a pre-sentence investigation report ahead of the next hearing, which will take place on June 25 at 8:30 a.m. Stuarts legal team did not comment on the case when asked.
