    Mysterious deathA 38-year old man who was found dead near Carbondale on Sunday has been identified as Glenwood Springs resident Matthew Cox. Authorities initially thought Cox was the victim of a hit-and-run incident but, according to the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, an initial autopsy revealed no traumatic injuries to the body.

    RHS cottageThe Redstone Historical Society (RHS) has been offered an unique opportunity to purchase the DeMaestri-Durrett mining-era cottage on Redstone Boulevard and needs $25,000 to close the deal. The home is valued at $875,000. Donations so far include $275,000 from one of the cottage owners and a matching $200,000 grant from Pitkin County to go with a pending $250,000 from History Colorado. Individual donations have raised $120,000, according to the RHS.
