A 30-year-old woman was arrested in Centurion on April 14 after being found in possession of drugs. Johannesburg Flying Squad spokesperson Raymond Sambo said the arrest happened around 16:45 at the corner of Old Johannesburg Road and Sarel Baard Crescent. He said officers were conducting routine patrols in the area when they pulled over a woman driving a white Isuzu bakkie.

Power has finally been restored to about 95% of the areas in Centurion that were previously in the dark since April 3, due to the fire at the Brakfontein substation. Tshwane Mayor Nasiphi Moya announced this during an oversight visit to the substation early Tuesday morning. Moya said she was pleased with the progress made by the metro’s teams, which managed to restore power to most of Centurion’s affected areas by 01:00 on April 15.
