SYRACUSE, N.Y. — In the lull between spring travel and the kick-off to summer, gas demand slid week over week dropping national average. According to AAA the national average dropped three cents to land at $3.14. One year ago, the price was $3.62. The New York State average is $3.09, down one cent from last Monday. A year ago, the NYS average was $3.72.

Rock Cut Road Transfer Station Temporarily Closed

Jamesville, N.Y. — The Rock Cut Road Transfer Station will be closed to residential and commercial customers through Wednesday, April 30. OCRRA said a mechanical issue at the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Facility, where Onondaga County’s municipal solid waste is processed, has caused the temporary closure. OCRAA said all customers in Onondaga County served by municipal and private haulers should expect and may experience a delay in their curbside and/or commercial pickups.
