Little did she know, their relationship would transform into an incomparable connection between each other and their family of four. Axel was born in November 2016, at 26 weeks, weighing one pound and seven ounces. Due to pregnancy complications, Bailey had to be flown out to Billings.

    Students at Cody Middle School and the Quilts of Valor Foundation are creating quilts for local veterans during their Friday enrichment class. At the end of the semester, students will present the quilts that were made, in front of the veteran’s families, community members and their families too. On the first day, the class begins with a presentation from a recipient of a Quilt of Valor or Quilt of Honor. The purpose of this is to let the students know the seriousness of the service.

    Park County Archivist Robyn Cutter is asking for preservation and protection of historic buildings in response to recent building demolitions on Sheridan Avenue by Yellowstone Impressions, a business owned by Barron Collier. Yellowstone Impressions has demolished two buildings that stood for nearly a century at the heart of Cody. Recently, the company has presented plans and proposed visuals for new constructions, and there is currently a third building set to be demolished.

    Editor’s note: This is an updated version of a story run on Tuesday with an incorrect headline. While Jason Potter will no longer be the SRO for the Cody School District at the end of this school year, it is not due to insufficient funding, and another officer will take his place. Once the school year ends, Jason Potter will be relieved of his duties as the student resource officer (SRO) at Cody High and Cody Middle schools, with another SRO slated to take his place next fall.
