Pennsylvania native Don Slusser, 73, was found dead Friday morning after an extensive overnight search on Percy Priest Lake, said a news release from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Slusser was reported missing Thursday evening after he failed to return from a solo kayak trip. The release states that Slusser and his wife had spent the day hiking and kayaking near the Seven Points Campground before deciding to return to their campsite.

SUBMITTEDThe office of emergency management deactivated their Emergency Operations Center Sunday after several days of storms raged through Middle Tennessee. The National Weather Service announced on social media Sunday that Nashville experienced six to eight inches of rainfall between April 2-6.
