Increasing rain chances are slated for the end of the week. A stationary boundary will be near the North Carolina-Virginia line on Wednesday. Spotty showers may develop along the boundary, but most of the rain activity will occur over northwestern North Carolina. A few spotty showers are possible along and west of Interstate 77.

Mostly cloudy skies will be overhead for the day with afternoon temperatures reaching the seasonably warm 70s. Rain showers are possible, but there is a greater chance of rain south of US 460. A few rumbles of thunder may occur.
