ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) - A Flood Watch remains in effect Wednesday evening as pockets of heavy rain are possible. Heavy rain today, following two to five inches over the past two days, could cause additional problems. Rain will end for most of the region overnight, returning during the afternoon hours on Thursday as a warm front lifts northward. A few storms in the afternoon could be strong to severe, with hail and wind being the main threats. Temperatures will be much warmer on Thursday.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) - A Flood Watch continues for areas along and east of the Blue Ridge through 2 a.m. Wednesday. Heavy rain and saturated soils could cause water to rise quickly. As of Tuesday afternoon, several flood advisories are in effect. A few storms through mid-evening could get strong to briefly severe with wind and hail possible. The threat will end as temperatures drop after sunset. Rain chances will continue over the next several days, bringing additional rainfall of up to an inch.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) - A Flood Watch remains in effect for areas along and east of the Blue Ridge through early Wednesday morning. Heavy rain will continue to fall for the next 24 to 36 hours, with the heaviest rain expected on Tuesday. Over the next seven days, one to four inches of rain is expected, with locally higher amounts, especially in the lee of the Blue Ridge. The heaviest rain is expected Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
