New York City-based “opportunistic” investment firm Woodhill Real Estate bought the closing Revlon manufacturing plant in West Jacksonville. Through Overmyer Industrial I LLC, Woodhill paid $10.07 million for the West Jacksonville property May 29. Roux Laboratories Inc., also based in New York City, sold the property, which comprises 185,179 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space among several buildings on 7.38 acres.

The city is reviewing a permit application for an estimated $100,000 tenant remodel at the 2,774-square-foot restaurant space at 2004 San Marco Blvd.

Internet retailer Amazon.com’s same-day delivery station in development in West Jacksonville is adding a refrigerated area so that customers can fill grocery orders within hours. At a project cost estimated at $9 million, Amazon wants to update the tenant space in the sortation and delivery warehouse for the refrigerated storage program. Bryan Builders LLC of Longwood is the contractor.

Global developer Aventuur and its Northeast Florida group of investors announced June 2 they closed on the purchase of 45 acres in eTown for its first U.S. surf park intended to open in early 2028. They did not announce the purchase price. The site is southwest of the Florida 9B and Interstate 295 interchange in South Jacksonville. Pending approvals, construction is expected to start in early 2026.

Miami-based El Car Wash announced June 2 it bought Johnny Clean Car Wash, which has one 3-minute tunnel location in Jacksonville at 7147 Merrill Road in Arlington. The newly acquired locations will be rebranded as El Car Wash. The company said in a news release that it continues its focus on expanding in Florida with the purchase of the five locations, including one in West Palm Beach and three in Orlando.
