THE mystery of a mum's tragic murder who was strangled, stabbed and later found covered by an old bed base in a woodland brook remains unsolved. Patricia Granger was stabbed, sexually assaulted and strangled near her home in Parson Cross, Sheffield in August 1997. The 25-year-old's body was discovered in a brook in a nearby woodland but her killer was never found. Cops have now told The Sun that they are still keeping the case open and "continually reviewing" it.

SHOCKING footage shows the moment a major gas explosion launched a slurry tank into the air, leaving a worker with severe injuries and an amputated leg. Tomasz Patek and Robert Tyrko were working on pipework for a large metal tank in Nottingham when sparks from their grinder triggered a massive explosion. The dramatic video shows a huge explosion which causes the tanker to be launched into the air. The blast engulfed the area in white smoke as the tank continued to fly in the air.

A THREE-month-old boy found unresponsive at a house five days ago has sadly died - as police charge a man and a woman with assault. Cops raced to the property in Seacombe following reports of concern for a child. The infant was rushed to hospital where injuries to his body were found. Despite medical efforts and treatment, he was sadly pronounced dead this afternoon. Klevi Pirjani, 36, and Nivalda Santos Pirjani, 33, were charged with causing grievous bodily harm and Section 18 wounding with intent.

The Environment Secretary revealed the new rules would aim to end the 'postcode lottery' of recyclingA HUGE bin collection change that will impact all Brits is set to be launched in 2026 in a bid to end "Wild West" recycling. Under the new plans, households will be issued up to four bins by the council as the "default" for separating waste. Under the current scheme, some households have been using up to ten bins for waste, with a third relying on five or more.

SHOCKING footage shows the moment armed robbers attacked an ITV star with a hammer after storming his jewellery shop. Ian Towning, who has appeared on Dickinson's Real Deal and Posh Pawn, and his security guard Mark Simmons were brutally attacked when robbers James Dixon and Thomas Loring looted the shop in March. The shocking footage shows the two men entering Mr Towning's jewellery store with a black duffle bag, both armed with hammers, including one wielding a sledgehammer.
