GENESEO, Ill. (KWQC) - A pizza shop is continuing its long-lasting legacy with the third generation of family members serving up pizza and dreams, one slice at a time. From first jobs to friendly faces, Sam’s La Roma Pizza House has been a staple in the Geneseo community. It started 56 years ago with Sam Curcuru. Sam came from Sicily to Geneseo in 1969 to join his family, who worked in the pizza business. “They liked Geneseo, they liked the hometown feel of Geneseo,” his wife Jean said.

According to a media release from Burlington police, Michelle Adams, 35, of Centerville, Iowa, is charged with: possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a Class B felonyfailure to affix a drug tax stamp over seven-grams, a class D felonyprobation violation for having a warrant out of Appanoose Countyproviding false identification.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Muscatine woman will spend decades in prison for producing and possessing child pornography. Jessica Rochelle Peters, 37, was sentenced to 45 years in federal prison for her role in the crimes. Peters produced seven videos and three photos containing child sexual abuse materials in July of 2021, including videos of Peters sexually abusing a minor victim, according to court documents. Peters sent the videos and photos to an Indiana man who sent Peters money in exchange.

EAST MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - The man who attacked a Moline police officer will spend 20 years behind bars. Adrian Ward Rogers pleaded guilty to assaulting Sgt. William Lind back in 2022. Sgt. Lind was trying to arrest Rogers who was wanted for arson. The attack left Sgt. Lind unconscious with life-threatening injuries. Sgt. Lind survived and was given a purple heart for his service.
