    GALESBURG, Ill. (KWQC) - An arrest has been made in a homicide investigation. Gerald Fry Jr., 56, was arrested on a warrant for first-degree murder charges, according to Galesburg Police Chief Kevin Legate. Fry was arrested Wednesday at approximately 8:30 a.m. and taken to the Knox County Jail. On April 15, the Galesburg Police Department responded to 191 N. Street #16 in Galesburg for a report of an unresponsive woman, police said. The woman was identified as a 49-year-old.

    DAVENPORT, Iowa and ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - A Quad Cities Fourth of July tradition is returning for another year. The annual bi-state Red, White and Boom! will be held on July 3, event organizers said. Family-friendly activities will take place that evening in downtown Davenport and Rock Island. The show will start at 9:30 p.m. with fireworks being shot, in sync to music broadcast 97X, from two barges in the middle of the Mississippi River.
