However, teaching at the same time made it harder to chase coaching opportunities. So, when this job came up, she decided it was time to take a leap of faith.

    BILLINGS--Tonight, the Big Sky state games kicked off at Daylis Stadium with the torch lighting and historical Montana Mile. Duels between teammates headlined both races. The girls were up first, and the field was wide open since two-time champion Sidney Little Light was not running. After the first lap, Hardin's Karis Brightwings-Pease was in the lead, but Hayley Burns and Odessa Zentz, formerly from Bozeman and Helena, but now teammates at Northern Arizona, closed the gap.

    BILLINGS--The Big Sky State games kicked off Friday and run through Sunday. Competitors participate in nearly 40 different sports, including shooting. One of those shooting events, Muzzleloading, is host to rich history, and some of the longest-competing athletes. Black powder. Flint. Lead. The athletes competing in Muzzleloading take pride in the history and technique of loading and firing Revolutionary and Civil War era weapons, which they were eager to explain and teach.
