A teenage girl was rushed to hospital after being stabbed near a West London school last night (Wednesday, April 16). A man has been arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. She was found with a cut to the head on Godfrey Avenue, close to Alec Reed Academy, Northolt, after police rushed to the scene at around 8.15pm yesterday. A crime was also put in place while the incident was dealt with. The girl's injury has been assessed as non life-threatening.

New escalator barriers have been introduced at the Elizabeth line's Paddington station in the hopes of reducing accidents there. The station's new addition aims to improve customer safety and encourage those with heavy baggage to instead use the lifts. Paddington station is one of London's busiest and it has had a "notably" high number of accidents on the escalators in recent years.
