    The Complete Streets committee of Plymouth received approval to implement a temporary tactical urbanism project aimed at narrowing the driving lanes of East Jefferson Street at its intersection with Randolph Street during Monday night's Board of Public Works and Safety meeting. City Attorney and Complete Streets committee member Jeff Houin said this is a collaboration between the city and the school corporation. The proposed temporary project will take place in May and June.

    A witness to a single-vehicle accident on Michigan Road, south of Tyler Road, called the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center on Monday, April 14th, reporting that she saw a vehicle drive off the road and into the ditch. The accident occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m., and the caller advised that the female was moving and had a laceration to her head. LaPaz Fire and EMS responded to the scene and county officers were dispatched.

    Plymouth Police were dispatched to 223 1/2 North Walnut Street for a report of a domestic altercation in progress at about 12:20 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15th. City Officers found 47-year-old Joshua Neff of Mishawaka extremely irate and violent inside the home. He resisted law enforcement as they attempted to detain him. Ultimately, Neff was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail for domestic battery, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

    Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel presented the March Sheriff’s Department and Jail Report on Tuesday. The report outlines the top ten reasons individuals were booked into the Marshall County Jail last month. Failure to appear and operating while intoxicated were ranked one and two, respectively, with twenty-three arrests each. Operators who were never licensed were third on the list with seventeen arrests, and driving while suspended was fourth with fourteen bookings.

    Plymouth Police were dispatched to the Prairie View Group Home at 703 West Jefferson Street on Tuesday afternoon about a client assaulting a staff member and then leaving the residence on foot. Patrolman Enyart found 19-year-old Braydon A. Mabes walking in an alley west of the residence. He was taken into custody without incident. Due to the battery charge, Mabes was taken to the Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged for the Class B misdemeanor battery charge.
