MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Conversations quickly escalated during the Fayette County Public Schools board meeting Thursday night after discussions centered around the budget and the potential of teachers’ jobs being cut. A very vocal and large crowd showed up at the school board meeting as the possibility of up to 25 teachers being laid off came about. The uncertainty had many concerned, including board member Myles Wilson, who repeatedly asked who exactly would be laid off and when it would happen.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Something that has been talked about for 20 years is officially beginning on Wednesday. You will now need a REAL ID at airports nationwide and at federal buildings. The Transportation Security Administration says it’s been practicing ahead of the launch Wednesday. People older than 18 who plan to fly will need an ID with a gold or black star in the corner.
