MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three men caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage to an East Memphis Game Stop after ramming a stolen car into the business, all for $700 in cash and merchandise, police say. The Memphis Police Department responded to the burglary at 5043 Park Avenue just after 5 a.m. on Thursday. They say a stolen, white Kia Soul was used to smash into the front entrance of the building, causing around $30,000 in damage.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 70-year-old woman reported missing earlier this week was found dead near her home in Somerville, Tennessee, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. A state-wide Silver Alert was issued by the TBI on Monday for Charlotte Kee, who was reported missing from her home on Feathers Chapel Drive in Fayette County under unusual circumstances. Family members told WREG that the door to her mobile home was found wide open, her dog was outside alone, and her stove was left on.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Seventeen-year-old Mario Donyale Lester Jr. was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Tunica County, Mississippi, according to the sheriff’s office. Lester was wanted on a first-degree murder warrant issued by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office following the shooting death of 18-year-old Makenzie Kaleb Thomas on Sunday. MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Forty-two people in Lafayette County, Mississippi, were arrested on drug charges, according to the sheriff’s office. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office Metro Narcotics Unit, with the help of multiple other agencies, served 42 arrest warrants for people who had allegedly committed drug violations and other felony crimes in Lafayette County. The sheriff’s office released the following press release listing all 42 arrestees and their charges.
