In court, James Boothe Jr.’s public defender began laying out what they were still waiting on in order to move forward in the case, three months after Boothe was first arrested.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A family has identified the 15-year-old who was killed in a shooting near a Berclair neighborhood on Sunday. The victim was identified by his family as Michael Aguilar. Police responded to the shooting just before 6 p.m. in the 3900 block of Macon, police said. Aguilar was taken to Regional One in critical condition, where he died from his injuries.
