With around 3,000 of them scattered across the city, London is filled to the brim with gorgeous gardens and picturesque parks. In fact, 47% of our (not-so) concrete jungle is actually made up of green space. But only one of them reigns supreme as the oldest park in London. And that accolade falls to Finsbury Circus Gardens; a lush and leafy spot in the heart of the City of London, that’s been welcoming Londoners and beyond since it first opened its gates as London’s first public park in 1606.

London life certainly has its many perks. I mean, it’s just as well – because I’d be out of a job if it didn’t. But it’s pretty difficult to deny the fact that living in the Big Smoke can sometimes feel like you’re stuck on a relentless conveyor belt of busy tubes, even busier diaries, spending money like it’s going out of fashion, and passive-aggressively uttering ‘excuse me’ to yet another tourist standing on the left. It’s no wonder we Londoners are such a tightly-wound bunch, hey?

Secret London has teamed up with yet another lovely local business, ready to well and truly level up lunchtime in London.

You may need to add ‘thorough leg warm up’ to the top of your pre-flight checklist, as some of Europe’s low-cost airlines could be introducing a new standing-only seating option as early as next year. The new seating option resembles what can only be described as a glorified bicycle saddle that would need to be perched on for the the duration of a flight. Admittedly it doesn’t sound hugely appealing.
