The Orange County Sheriff's Office announced the passing of K9 Fredy, a 2 1/2-year-old Springer Spaniel who served as a drug detection dog. On Oct. 16, tragedy struck when the vehicle carrying Fredy was involved in a collision. Fredy didn’t make it. During his service, K9 Fredy made significant contributions to law enforcement. He was responsible for intercepting hundreds of pounds of illegal narcotics, helping in the relentless battle against drug-related crime in Central Florida.

E'Dahja Lee, a 23-year-old resident of Ocala, found herself in hot water earlier this month as she was arrested for operating a stolen sweeper truck, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office. On the morning of Oct. 6, law enforcement says they received a report that a sweeper truck had been stolen from Sumter County. Authorities soon spotted the stolen vehicle within Ocala city limits.
