EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Sunday, April 20, is a First Alert Weather Day. A strong upper-level storm system will be moving into the Central United States this weekend. This will bring chances for rain to the forecast starting as early as Good Friday. Mostly cloudy skies on Friday are expected with a few isolated showers possible.

EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Strong thunderstorms continue moving through East Texas this evening. Frequent lightning and heavy rainfall are likely, but some storms still have a chance of becoming severe with hail and tornadoes possible. A tornado watch is in effect until 9pm for much of East Texas. As these storms diminish overnight, more storms will begin to develop to our west and move into East Texas as a line of strong to severe storms Saturday morning.

EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Scattered thunderstorms will continue this evening, mainly across Deep East Texas, before diminishing later tonight as the cold front finally advances through the region. All modes of severe weather remain possible within any stronger storms that may develop through the evening. Rainfall within these storms will be heavy at times, posing a localized flood risk for some areas. Once storms exit East Texas tonight, cloudy skies and a few showers will linger into Sunday.

East Texas (KLTV) - A mix of temperatures across the region thanks to morning rain and clouds that hung around into the afternoon. Overnight, clouds will dissipate and temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 70s by morning. Tomorrow looks mostly sunny and hot, but not as hot as what we experienced the last several days. Tuesday afternoon highs will reach the upper 90s and fall back to the mid 70s by Wednesday morning.

East Texas (KLTV) - Another hot day with another heat advisory in effect through this evening. Temperatures tonight will drop slowly into the upper 70s by morning. Friday will be mostly sunny and very hot with temperatures very close to the triple digit mark. Heat index values will soar above 110 at times Friday afternoon. A heat advisory is in effect for several East Texas counties and now an excessive heat warning has been issued for much of the northern half of East Texas for Friday.

East Texas (KLTV) - The heat advisory today continues into the evening and another heat advisory has been issued for tomorrow, as the heat continues. Tonight, temperatures will once again drop into the upper 70s with light winds and fair skies. More sunshine is expected for Thursday with high temperatures back in the upper 90s by afternoon and heat index values above 105 degrees. Temperatures will climb another degree or two through the weekend with highs expected in the triple digits.

East Texas (KLTV) - It may not have been a huge cool down, but that cold front did drop temperatures enough to notice the difference today. Tonight, expect a few clouds and temperatures will drop a little quicker and reach the lower to mid 70s by morning. Saturday and Sunday still look to be near average for this time of the year with highs in the mid 90s. Northern counties will still see a very slight chance for isolated showers through the weekend.

East Texas (KLTV) - The hot, humid weather will continue but thanks to today’s very weak cold front, temperatures won’t be quite as hot as the last few days. Tonight, temperatures will slowly fall into the upper 70s with fair skies and light and variable winds. Friday looks mostly sunny to partly cloudy. A few very isolated showers are possible, but not very likely, in northern counties of East Texas. Don’t expect much rain, but a few lucky areas could get a little bit.

East Texas (KLTV) - Another hot, humid day today and more on the way. Tonight, temperatures will drop into the upper 70s again with fair skies. Wednesday look mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 90s, but thankfully there will be a breeze. However, with the humidity, temperatures will likely feel like the triple digits, so another heat advisory has been issued through Wednesday evening and will likely be issued again through the end of the week.
