East Texas (KLTV) - Scattered showers and heavy thunderstorms will continue into the evening. Expect the rain to gradually come to an end overnight into very early Saturday morning. Temperatures will be dropping into the 50s by Saturday morning with a few clouds that will quickly clear by Saturday afternoon. North winds on Saturday will bring in lower humidity and temperatures for the weekend look below average in the mid to upper 70s.

East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - A First Alert Weather Day has been declared for Tuesday. After a really nice weekend, another storm system will be approaching next week. Deep layer moisture will be in place across East Texas before the upper level low pressure moves in and this will cause a threat for some very heavy rainfall. Rain could start as early as Monday evening and would increase in intensity and coverage through the day on Tuesday as a cold front begins to move into the region.

East Texas (KLTV) - A line of strong thunderstorms will continue to move through East Texas through the evening and come to an end overnight. Damaging winds, small hail and isolated tornadoes are all possible with this line of storms. Temperatures will fall into the 60s as the rain moves through and stay in the 60s through morning. Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy and warm with temperatures in the mid 80s.

Expect the first half of the day Wednesday to be mainly dry, with a few thunderstorms developing by late afternoon and becoming more numerous into the late evening. Some of these storms could become strong to severe with heavy rainfall, gusty winds and hail. An isolated tornado can not be ruled out.

East Texas (KLTV) - Clouds have hung around today and will continue into the evening. A few sprinkles are possible. For the next few evenings, showers and thunderstorms will develop in West Texas and move eastward during the overnight hours. These could skirt the East Texas area to the northwest each early morning, but will likely die out before reaching most of our area. These storms are developing along a dryline that will progress eastward each day through midweek.

East Texas (KLTV) - A First Alert Weather Day is now in effect for Wednesday, April 30. A potent upper-level storm system will push east over the southern plains by the middle of the week, leading to an opportunity for more organized severe thunderstorms by Wednesday afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center has placed northern and northwestern portions of East Texas under a Slight Risk (Level 2/5) of severe thunderstorms.
