The UK has long been a powerhouse of creative excellence. From Shakespeare to Adele, from the jet engine to the world wide web, our legacy of innovation spans centuries and disciplines. It is a history built not just on talent, but on a spirit of imagination, curiosity and courage. But creativity isn’t only about producing icons or global exports. It is the lifeblood of progress. It fuels collaboration, drives fresh thinking, and helps us imagine better futures.

And yet creativity in the curriculum remains constrained. For years, voices across the education sector have called for a renewed focus on creative subjects and greater recognition of the value of creativity for students’ lives.

Farewell Mister Haffmann @ParkTheatre - excellent. Fascinating, powerful, riveting, thought-provoking play and funny. Superb performances all round and some bonus tap dancing. It is basically just a lot of my favourite things in 90 minutes! #farewellmisterhaffmann https://t.co/oQhwnneZAY

While V was at Emil Dale today I went to the Broadway Cinema to see the Twiggy film documentary. It’s a fascinating look at her life and how she has dealt with everything it has thrown at her - I now think she’s amazing! Plus it’s a gorgeous venue so I’ll definitely be back! https://t.co/PvZrO1XL5g

What’s going on @Morrisons? Cancelled our order yesterday, had to order a takeaway. Rebooked for today and now told it will be three hours late and arrive about 8pm. Ordered more takeaway. Using you is costing us. This is also happening to others I know. Are you having problems?
