COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -Don’t be alarmed if you see smoke near Cheyenne Mountain this week. Firefighters with the Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station Fire Department are conducting controlled burn drills for annual recertification. The training exercises are scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to noon April 23 through April 30. Officials say the training is taking place in a controlled environment and all safety protocols are in place.
