Darren, 44, was last seen in the Grinton Park Way area of Darlington at around 1.44am on Thursday, May 29. Despite multiple appeals, including images of his gold-coloured 62-plate Honda Civic, Darren has still not been found.

Ex HMP Frankland officer questions whether prison is safe after latest inspection (Image: NORTHERN ECHO) A former HMP Frankland officer who was stabbed with a broken bottle at work has questioned whether the facility is safe following its latest inspection. The Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) inspectors said the County Durham facility is "generally safe" in their latest report - just over a month after officers were "doused in hot oil and stabbed".

The Knife Angel is coming to Newton Aycliffe. (Image: Contributor) A sculpture made out of 100,000 blades in an effort to send a message about the impact of knife crime is set to come to Newton Aycliffe this week. It has been four years since 18-year-old Jack Woodley was stabbed to death by a gang as he left a fun fair in Houghton-le-Spring in October 2021 - and now the Knife Angel, a poignant symbol for knife crime, will visit his hometown.
