YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio (WDTN) — A local restaurant is holding a fundraiser to help a woman who’s planning a major swim overseas. Amy Wamsley has been spending her time in the pool and other bodies of water as she prepares to swim the English Channel. It’s a dream she’s had ever since she was a kid, and now she’s making it a reality. She’s been training for the 20-and-a-half-mile swim for more than a year.

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — For 25 years, it’s been the hottest ticket downtown. In April 2000, the first fans filled the newly built stadium on North Patterson Boulevard to cheer on the fire-breathers. “It was very important that baseball be successful right out of the chute,” says Robert Murphy, Dayton Dragons president and general manager. The ballpark opened during a time when development was at a peak downtown with Riverscape MetroPark and the Schuster Center.
