The man arrested outside the UnitedHealthcare campus in Minnetonka on Monday is expected to face a judge on Tuesday, as investigators say the suspect had been trying to get attention. Tuesday’s appearance comes about four months after the company’s CEO, Brian Thompson, was gunned down in Manhattan. Barriers have been up at the campus since then, and a source tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS they did as they were intended.

Additional IEEPA Tariffs ImposedOn March 4, new tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) went into effect on imports from Canada and Mexico. The IEEPA tariffs include an additional 25% duty on imports from Canada and Mexico, with an exception for energy or energy resources from Canada that received a lower 10% additional duty rate. This imposition of IEEPA tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico comes after a 30-day pause after the initial IEEPA announcement.

The girls state hockey tournament is getting underway at Xcel Energy Center. Sixteen teams will be playing over the next few days in one of the most exciting weeks of hockey in Minnesota. Among those teams are Orono and Fergus Falls, who are kicking things off, followed by Warroad and Marshall for Class A. AA teams play starting Thursday, with most of them playing at the X, but other games may be played at the TRIA Rink in the Treasure Island Center.
