Clinical officers yesterday issued a 14-day strike notice demanding the implementation of all their unresolved grievances by the government. Kenya Union of Clinical Officers (KUCO) said their members will down their tools from January 19, 2025, if all their issues are not addressed. KUCO Chairperson Peterson Wachira stated outside Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital that all agreed timelines had been set.

The widow of the slain drug baron Swaleh Yusuf Ahmed alias Kandereni has been sentenced to 40 years for trafficking narcotics. Mombasa Senior Resident Magistrate David Odhiambo, on behalf of Principal Magistrate Martin Rabera, also slapped the widow, Fatuma Ahmed, with a fine of Sh825,642,200. Mr Swaleh was reported missing before his body was discovered in a thicket in the Kikambala area of Kilifi. He was facing multiple charges related to drug trafficking at the Coast alongside his wife, Fatuma.

Socialite and content creator Amber Ray this week issued an ultimatum to her fiancé Ken Rapudo saying she will not get a third child until they officiate their union. Speaking in an episode of reality show NaiRich, Amber said she might be forced to remove her engagement ring if Rapudo does not marry her by the end of the year.
