HARTFORD — Majority Democrats rejected 18 Republican amendments during an 11-hour marathon in the state Senate that ended at 12:30 a.m. Friday, in final action on a bill that would allow victims of gun violence, including cities and towns, to sue firearms manufacturers and dealers for negligence. The bill, which passed in a straight party line 25-11 vote, sends the legislation to the governor, who intends to sign it.
