    LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — Deputies with the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office have made another arrest connected to a fatal shooting that took place at Ware Shoals Dragway in May. Officials arrested Travis Dewayne Jr. of Greenwood in connection to the shooting. Turner has been charged with murder, as well as possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

    HAYWOOD COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Officials in Haywood County have issued a recreational water advisory in some parts of the county due to a diesel fuel spill in the area. According to the Haywood County Officials, a diesel fuel release impacted Jones Cove Creek near Jones Cove Road in Clyde, NC to the Waterville Dam at the Tennessee state line. There is currently ongoing clean-up and remediation of the impacted areas.

    GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A death investigation is underway following a shooting in Greenville Sunday morning. According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, officials were called to Falls Park Drive early Sunday morning in reference to a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officials said the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries. The coroner’s office has not identified the man at this time. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

    DUNCAN, S.C. (WSPA) – The Town of Duncan announced they will host their 2024 Summer Movie Nights starting June 1. Officials said the movie showing will start at dark behind the stone stage on the grass at the Duncan Event Center, located at 119 South Spencer Street. Guests will be able to get free popcorn and Ohana’s will be on-site selling shaved ice. Guests can also bring towels, chairs, or blankets to the movie showing. Leashed dogs are welcome as long as they are cleaned up after.

    GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning. According to the sheriff’s office, the shooting occurred in the 200 block of Pine Creek Court Extension around 1 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male and an adult female victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
