GEORGIA (WGNO) — In Friday’s “Lunchtime Lagniappe,” the world is celebrating a new pope, and one Catholic School in Georgia is hoping one of its students may follow in Pope Leo XIV‘s footsteps. During the week of the conclave, second graders at Pinecrest Academy held their own conclave. Students played cardinals and elected a new pope from their class. This was purely educational to teach the kids about the conclave process.

John Foster from Addis, Louisiana, sang the country song “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait on Monday’s “Judge’s Choice” episode. On the “Judge’s Choice” episode, the Idol judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood all choose a song for the contestant to sing.
