Naugatuck is in the middle of some major roadwork to upgrade infrastructure in need of help. There are currently six active projects in the city, one of which is currently on Church Street, and the businesses are feeling its presence. "Now we are really at rock bottom so to speak, no pun intended," said Stephanie Fusco, as she looked out the window of her shop where the road is literally down to dirt.

The state is starting fires in specific locations to help the environment. It's all part of the state's prescribed burn program and they allowed us access to observe the work being done. Conditions had to be perfect, and Thursday morning, a window opened for the group to burn in specific sections along the Massachusetts border in Suffield. This was the state's second prescribed burn of the year and totaled 70 acres.

State Police and DOT are continuing efforts to crack down on reckless, impaired, and wrong way driving after another weekend of crashes and arrests. From Essex to East Hartford state officials say the state is lucky more people weren't killed because of bad decisions. The southern end of Route 9 was the scene of the latest wrong way driving incident over the weekend.

March Madness doesn't just stop at basketball for Connecticut universities, an in-state rivalry was taking place on the ice in Allentown, Pennsylvania. UConn took down Quinnipiac University on the ice in a 4-1 battle in the first round of the NCAA tournament. This was UConn's first appearance in the tournament, and students were excited for their hometown team. "We haven't had a lot of hockey so it's good to see," Maya Komorowski said. For a first appearance, UConn showed out.
