ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Ishpeming Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 21-year-old man facing multiple charges. Bailey Aho-Carello was out on bond for charges including armed robbery, unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle, and two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm. Aho Carello has since absconded. Bailey now has a felony arrest warrant from the Ishpeming Police Department for unarmed robbery, stemming from a separate incident.

LANSING, Mich. (WZMQ) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer has declared a state of emergency for the city of Lansing, Allegan County, and Baraga County after a severe weather system on May 15 brought 11 tornadoes, damaging winds, heavy rain, and flash flooding to communities across the state. “These storms left a mark on Michigan especially in our capital city and in Allegan and Baraga counties,” Whitmer said.

ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – Michigan State Police are looking to identify an ATV driver who took off from them during an attempted traffic stop in Ishpeming. According to their press release, they tried pulling the man over on Greenwood Street near Willow Street on May 9. Troopers did not pursue due to the suspect driving recklessly and endangering public safety. He is described as white, wearing a black shirt, a blue motocross-style helmet and no goggles.
