Although it has been a challenge to attract sponsors, the coronation of Miss Universe Jamaica Central, one of the regional pageants in the Miss Universe Jamaica national pageant, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 26 at the Golf View hotel in Mandeville. Twelve young ladies representing the parishes of St Elizabeth, Manchester and Clarendon, are competing for the title. According to pageant manager, Trilisa Walker, the finalists are quite diverse.

Even though it took some time to be completed, Producer Ajal is happy with the way his latest project, Predominant Riddim, turned out. The US-based producer worked with established names as well as up-and-coming acts to produce a project he feels is Grammy worthy. “We definitely will be submitting this project for the Grammy. Hopefully, we will make it to final albums in the reggae category. Working with these artistes was a joy and putting together these tracks made the process even easier.
