DAVIS, Calif. — Over a dozen NFL scouts were on hand at UC Davis to witness draft prospects in action at Pro Day. UC Davis, Sacramento State, and the University of Hawaii all held a joint Pro Day. Of the more than a dozen student athletes who took advantage of the event, there were two names who stood out above the rest: Lan Larison (UC Davis) and Jackson Slater (Sacramento State). Larison is one of the most decorated athletes to come out of UC Davis.

On Saturday afternoon, the Marauders hoisted a state championship for the first time in program history. Jesuit defeated Chatsworth of Southern California 66-53 in the Division 2 State Championship at Golden 1 Center. It’s the first time Jesuit has made the state championship game since 1994. Freshman Mason Phillips stole the show. He scored a career-high 19 points, which also led his team. Senior Amaury McKinney pitched in 13 points.
