Two house fires broke out over the weekend throughout the city. Fire officials said there was extensive damage, but no one was injured. ELWOOD — Officials say a 16-year-old Tipton High School student was killed after being struck by a vehicle over the weekend in Madison County. 2,107 days. That’s roughly how long investigators believe 18-year-old Karena McClerkin was buried in the ground before her skeletal remains were located inside a trash bag in July 2022. That information was provided as part of a lengthier testimony Monday by forensic pathologist Darin Wolfe in the jury trial against Flint Farmer, a Kokomo man accused in McClerkin’s 2016 disappearance and death. Farmer is facing a single charge of murder for his alleged involvement in the case.
