When I watched Arcane‘s first season, I felt it was a masterpiece, a complete success in terms of story, themes, music and character building. It was difficult for me to imagine it away from the pantheon of animated giants like Toy Storyand Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Since the post-credits scene of Shadow at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, I’ve been impatiently waiting for any news on Sonic the Hedgehog 3. But days turned into weeks, the weeks turned into months, and the months turned into years as I began to grow weary of waiting. We got the Knuckles series to provide entertainment, but it was no Shadow.

Well, f*ck. Here we are. I’m the guy who is passionately against the PlayStation live service game push, and I’m about to write this article about Concord, the new game from Firewalk Studios: a PlayStation live service game. I’ves only vibed with two or three online games in the past, like Warzone (Verdansk only), Star Wars Battlefront 2, and, weirdly, (RIP). And now Concord.

DLC expansions are commonplace in the gaming world today. Most games will have some form of DLC, such as cosmetic items, boosters, or even a new character. Some games even get story DLC packs that build on the plot foundation established in the main game. Pokémon used to be one of the series that didn’t have any DLC (not counting releasing two versions of the game), but that changed with Sword and Shield with the Sword and Shield expansions pass.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is one of my favourite games of all time. I loved it back when it came out in 2020, and I still love it to this day. The story was enthralling, the combat was addictive, and those graphics were to die for (especially the particle effects). So, it comes as no surprise that I am very much excited for the upcoming sequel, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Over the past two to three years, I’ve been reacquainting myself with my childhood love of comics. Having loved reading comics from my local library during my school days, I fell off the wagon during university. Life got really busy, and I found it harder to find some good-quality comic book stores around me that had something more than the typical Marvel and DC offerings.

After being MIA for the past couple of years, Nintendo has made a wonderful return to Australia with many exciting games, events, and more. Every gamer could find a game for them, from upcoming releases to newly released games and everything in between. A My Nintendo store was also at the event, allowing attendees to get their hands on Nintendo merch and games. Even some exciting events took place over the weekend for everyone’s viewing pleasure. It was a little hard to keep track of all of this.
