Boston College women’s basketball has added another player to its roster out of the transfer portal. The program has signed Butler transfer guard Lily Carmody, it announced on Friday night in an official press release. “SIGNED,” said Boston College women’s basketball via X. “Welcome to The Heights, Lily Carmody.” In her sole season at Butler, the Melbourne, Australia, native appeared in 31 games which included 14 starts and averaged 23.6 minutes, 6.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and two assists per game.

On Friday night, Judge Claudia Wilken approved the House v. NCAA Settlement, a landmark decision that will give schools the opportunity to pay players, put roster limits in place, and more. One of the biggest aspects of the settlement is the limit to rosters starting in the 2025-26 school year. Most programs will have a substantial increase in scholarships, but the settlement places a restriction on the amount of players allowed to be on a roster.

Another change is officially coming to college athletics. Late Friday night, Judge Claudia Wilken granted the House v. NCAA settlement which will give schools the opportunity to participate in revenue sharing which lets them directly pay student-athletes, put in place roster limits, and more. “This is an exciting moment for everyone involved in college sports,” said NCAA president Charlie Baker in an open letter on Friday night.
