WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) – Four people have died after a car crashed into a corner store in the Waterbury area in Connecticut on Thursday. Waterbury police responded to Cherry Street at 12:45 a.m. to a report of a car that had crashed into a store. Authorities said a BMW sedan slammed into the Hernandez Market, partially collapsing the building. Cherry Street was closed from East Main to Walnut streets until around 4 p.m.Emergency responders remained on scene well into the daylight hours.

(WFSB/Gray News) – Police have released crime scene photos that show the inside of the Connecticut home where a woman has been accused of holding her stepson captive for more than 20 years. The images provide a glimpse into what investigators call a “house of horrors,” where the victim was reportedly confined to a small room for up to 22 hours a day by the suspect, 56-year-old Kimberly Sullivan.

WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) - A 12-year-old girl in Connecticut was arrested after police said she committed a hate crime against two Muslim classmates. Officials said the attack happened on March 3 at Wallace Middle School in Waterbury. According to officials, the two victims were wearing hijab when they were physically assaulted by fellow students. All of the students involved were in seventh grade.
