BATON ROUGE — Officials at the Baton Rouge Metro Airport are working to restore water service after an outage left the facility without functioning restrooms, UWK has learned. In addition to the water issues, there is no air conditioning on the upper level where all the gates are located. UWK has learned the issue has been ongoing since at least 10 a.m. on Friday, June 20.

BATON ROUGE — A large perimeter has been set up as multiple agencies respond after a shooting that left an ATF agent shot at, grazed by a bullet. It was just after 2 p.m. when a shooting took place during an ATF surveillance operation. An ATF agent was shot at and hit by some bullet fragments. The federal agent has been transported to a hospital and said to have minor injuries. One suspect was hit during the shooting and that person has been transported to a hospital as well.

BATON ROUGE — A Baton Rouge Police officer was rushed to a hospital after a crash involving his motorcycle. The crash happened after 11 a.m. on Monday, June 16th at Prescott and Joor roads, near Greenwell Springs. Northbound Greenwell Springs has been shut down as officials respond to the scene and investigate exactly what happened. The motorman officer was transported in serious condition via an ambulance and multiple police officers escorting the ambulance.

BATON ROUGE — Reverend Jimmy Swaggart is an internationally-known evangelist, gospel musician, and founder of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and currently in critical condition. He suffered a sudden cardiac arrest early Sunday morning, on Father’s Day. According to family members, Rev. Swaggart went into cardiac arrest shortly after 8 a.m. at his home in Baton Rouge. Paramedics were able to revive a heartbeat before transporting him to the hospital.
