The Downtown Development Authority board on Wednesday signed off on revised terms for what is now called The Development at Cadillac Square — generally formerly known as the Monroe Blocks — to include the Cosm project as well as a market hall and other components.

Part of an extensive art collection accumulated by a late former commercial real estate executive and his wife is heading to auction to benefit the Detroit Institute of Arts. Approximately 70 pieces of Gilbert B. and Lila Silverman’s collection is being auctioned by DuMouchelles Auction House in downtown Detroit. Gilbert Silverman was a founder of what became Southfield-based Village Green Cos., one of the largest multifamily real estate managers in the country, along with the Holtzman family.
