SALISBURY, Md. -- On Wednesday, a group of Salisbury University students tabled on campus to voice their concerns and inform their classmates about potential future budget cuts at the university. Colin McEvers, a student and member of the College Republicans, led the effort in flagging down students, passing out flyers, and telling students about the possible cuts. "Apparently a lot of academic programs are going to be affected," says McEvers.

DELAWARE -- The Delaware Department of Transportation and the Division of Motor Vehicles are urging people to check their Real ID status ahead of the May 7, 2025 deadline, which the US Department of Homeland Security has confirmed will not be extended. Beginning May 7, 2025, all US travelers must be Real ID compliant to fly domestically and internationally and access certain federal buildings.

DOVER, Del. -- On Wednesday, certified election results confirmed Dover City Councilman Fred Neil's reelection to serve the city's third district. At 91, Neil is the oldest serving council member in Dover City Council history. He says the number is simply "a statement of his age." "I can't dance as fast as I used to, but I still can dance," says Neil with a laugh.

QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY, Md. -- On Friday, Maryland Governor Wes Moore responded to WBOC's questions about the passionate speech Delegate Sheree Sample-Hughes presented on the Maryland House floor late last month, speaking out against a $67B budget that includes tax hikes and budget cuts. Governor Moore and his team were in Queen Anne's County on Friday for a cabinet meeting and tour of the new Queen Anne's County YMCA and Active Aging Center.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. -- Rehoboth Beach City Commissioners are scheduled to discuss possible solutions to parking problems affecting businesses during the city's annual Sea Witch Festival. According to officials and several businesses, many people park their cars along Rehoboth Avenue days before the October festival even starts to secure a spot for tailgating. For businesses, the practice takes up parking for shoppers and employees.
