Texas A&M women’s basketball had lost nine of the last 10 matchups against the No. 2 South Carolina Gamecocks. Thursday’s matchup between the squads continued A&M’s recent losing history when it was defeated again, 90-49. In the early going, the A&M defense struggled to get stops against an electric South Carolina offense that easily dispersed the ball around the perimeter and inside the paint. “I thought they punched us in the mouth, and we didn’t punch back,” A&M coach Joni Taylor said.

Texas A&M women’s basketball tipped off its 11th game of the 2024-25 season on Monday searching for its fifth win at home against the Texas Southern Tigers. Entering the evening, the Aggies were 11-3 all-time against the Tigers, winning the last six meetings. After taming the Tigers 85-60, they advanced to 6-5 before the start of conference play in January.

Before tipoff, the Aggies were 6-2 all-time against the Demons and added one more to the win column, improving their record to 3-2.

Texas A&M women’s basketball played its second game of the season against the UTSA Roadrunners on Elementary School Day at Reed Arena with nearly 5,000 Brazos Valley students in attendance. The game was full of excitement, with each student screaming at the top of their lungs throughout the game as the Aggies pulled out a 55-51 victory. Entering the morning, A&M was 11-4 all-time against UTSA, having won the past five meetings dating back to 1999.
